Shell Exploration and Production (EP)

Shell Malaysia Exploration and Production business has concentrated on the efficient development and extraction of crude oil and - increasingly - natural gas offshore Sarawak and Sabah.  Following the introduction of the Petroleum Development Act (1974), which places the custody of the nation's hydrocarbon resources with the national petroleum corporation, PETRONAS, Shell's EP sector conducted its business through Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs).
