The German leg of the Ferrari 60 Relay was given a hearty welcome as they entered the city of Wiesbaden, one of the oldest spa towns in Europe and capital of the federal state, Hessen, where Ferrari Deutschland is based. Despite the wet weather conditions, the Ferrari owners took off towards Nurburgring, the legendary German race track.
The new and historic cars that participated in this stage of the relay drove a lap around both the famous old Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit. Ferrari holds the record for the most victories on this track. After a dinner in Bad Neuenahr, the tour left the next morning for Michael Schumacher’s "Kart Center", where the owners jumped at the opportunity to go head-to-head on the challenging track.
The participants then arrived at the villa of Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips to pay their respects to a Ferrari-driver who, in 1961, suffered a fatal accident in Monza. The last two days in Germany were dedicated to the cultural heritage of the country, passing through Goethes city of Weimar and stunning Dresden where the clients had an unforgettable dinner inside the famous Porcelain Collection of the Zwinger.
From Dresen, the 60 Relay headed to the German capital Berlin where the official presentation of the German present, a helmet out of porcelain made in famous Meissen, took place in the Italian Embassy.
