The oil has been developed to optimise the bike’s performance while keeping the engine clean.  It plays a key role for Ducati in lubricating the engine’s rotating and oscillating parts, and the constantly moving components of the gearbox.

The crank shaft is fully covered by oil. Friction is reduced and moving parts are lubricated and protected ensuring engine reliability and power increase.

The lubricant is sprayed by a jet toward the piston undercrown for piston cooling. Friction is reduced and moving parts are lubricated and protected. As a result there is a dramatic reduction in friction throughout the whole crank shaft.

The desmodromic valve train is covered with oil to ensure a fluid motion within the pistons and cylinders of the engine.
