01/02/2010 Shell and Cosan sign MOU to form joint venture in Brazil
Shell International Petroleum Company Limited and Cosan S.A. announced today they have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU), with the intention to form a circa $12 billion joint venture (JV) in Brazil for the production of ethanol, sugar and power, and the supply, distribution and retail of transportation fuels.

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) today agreed to transfer its interest in three production licences and related equipment in the Niger Delta to a consortium led by two Nigerian companies.
17/01/2010 Iraq and Shell consortium sign the Majnoon Oilfield contract
The Ministry of Oil of the Republic of Iraq, Royal Dutch Shell plc (“Shell”) and Petronas Carigali (“Petronas”) today signed a 20-year contract to provide technical assistance in the development of the Majnoon oilfield.
21/12/2009 Shell in strategic asset swap with Hess
In a move to consolidate its exploration and production portfolio in the North Sea and West Africa, Shell has agreed to acquire Hess Corporation’s entire upstream portfolio in Gabon and its interest in the Clair field, which lies in British waters west of the Shetland Islands. In return, Hess would acquire Shell’s interest in a pair of Norwegian offshore fields, Valhall and Hod. This transaction is a strategic trade and no cash payment is involved.
