Shell aims to provide communities in rural areas and vulnerable groups with access to basic health needs and infrastructure for their daily use.

 

Shell supported water project which was community-self built for areas with no access to clean water in Kampung Sumur Wuluh and Kagungan in Merak, Karang Joang in Balikpapan.

 

In the health field, in collaboration with Coalition for Health Indonesia (KuIS), Shell organized a Healthy Family Program in two villages in Merak. The program was aimed at training health cadres to enhance their abilities to develop a health-conscious community.  It was also expected to strengthen local integrated health service centres (Posyandu) for mothers and children.

 

In partnership with University of Indonesia (UI), public toilets project have been undergone located in Babakan Madang, Bogor, West Java for the local community. The program’s purpose is to increase the health standard and educating the local community on the importance of using public toilets properly.
