Shell Indonesia aims to provide communities living in the areas where Shell operates with access to basic health needs and infrastructure for their daily use.

Shell supported water project which was community-self built for areas with no access to clean water in Kampung Sumur Wuluh and Kagungan in Merak, Karang Joang and Gunung Sari Ulu in Balikpapan.

In the health field, in collaboration with Coalition for Health Indonesia (KuIS), Shell organized a Dengue Fever Control Program in Tegal Parang, Mampang Prapatan. The program was aimed at training health cadres to enhance their abilities to develop a health-conscious community.
