PT Shell Indonesia and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop entrepreneurships. This understanding is formed as a basis for both parties to cooperate and to realize Kadin’s commitment to support PT Shell Indonesia through the Shell LiveWIRE program. Darwin Silalahi, President Director and Country Chairman PT Shell Indonesia said during the MoU signing, “With the agreement between Shell Indonesia and Kadin, we hope that the Shell LiveWIRE program can be developed further and will be able to give more impact to young people in Indonesia, as part of our pledge to encourage the young generation to become quality entrepreneurs.” As of today, the Shell LiveWIRE workshop program has been participated by 2970 young people aged between 18 – 32 years, at 25 locations in Indonesia, partnering with local universities. Commenting on the partnership with PT Shell Indonesia, Moh. S. Hidayat, Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) said, ”With our network all over the country, we are ready to support in developing the Shell LiveWIRE program, so that the program can reach more young people and ultimately motivate them and position entrepreneurship as a viable career opportunity. Kadin as an organization with founding goals to continuously support and develop the capabilities, activities and interests of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, for sure we will strongly support the Shell LiveWIRE program that has been running consistently until now.” During the MoU signing event, PT Shell Indonesia also held a sharing session discussing ”Managing Small Medium Enterprises (SME) during Crisis” attended by representatives from Kadin Indonesia, Shell Indonesia, and small medium entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The speakers for the discussion are Ari Batubara, Vice Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Information Access Business Opportunity Small and Medium Enterprises of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and two young entrepreneurs from the Shell LiveWIRE program, Antonius Feryanto the founder of PT Pavettia Atsiri Indonesia, an essential oils company selling extraction machines and extracted nutmeg oil for export and Pandu W. Sastrowardoyo a young female entrepreneur for Shirtalks, a media company that produces viral shirts. Fery and Pandu are two talented young entrepreneurs amongst many others supported by Shell LiveWIRE in Indonesia after their participation in the Shell LiveWIRE Business Start-Up Awards. |
