Today, Standard Chartered Bank and Shell signed an agreement to give up to 10% cash back benefit to the Standard Chartered Bank’s Platinum and Gold credit card holders for purchases at any Shell gasoline stations throughout Indonesia, and a chance to win a car or other interesting prizes. For the first time in Indonesia, any gasoline purchases using Standard Chartered credit cards at any Shell gasoline stations throughout the country will receive a 10% Cash Back benefit for purchases using the Platinum card and 5% if using the Gold card. This Cash Back programme is valid for purchases on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective May 29th 2008 until December 31st 2008. In addition, purchases using any type of Standard Chartered credit cards at any given day during the same promo period, will have a chance to win 1 (one) Toyota Fortuner Diesel car, 2 (two) Piaggio Fly motorcycles, 20 Shell Gasoline vouchers worth IDR 4.5 million each, and 25 Shell Ultra Lubricant packages worth IDR 1.2 million each. There are also up to 25% discounts programmes at selected restaurants, the 0% SteadyPay programme with interest free installment purchases on electronic goods up to motorcycles, as well as the Great Rewards programme to redeem reward points for free flights to various destinations or free stays at world’s star-rated hotels. The Standard Chartered Bank credit card holders can also enjoy a low exchange rate when making transactions overseas. A Cash Rewards programme will give cash benefit that can be used to pay the credit card bill.
