Today, Shell reinforced its long-term commitment in the Indonesia market when Shell Indonesia simultaneously completed three new retail stations to make a total of ten (10) retail stations in the country. These new stations are located at Jl. TB. Simatupang, South Jakarta; Jl. Daan Mogot, West Jakarta and Jl. Senen Raya, Central Jakarta. Bruce Rosengarten, Shell Global Vice President for Retail Marketing was present to officially inaugurate the completion of the retail station at Jl. Senen Raya, Central Jakarta. Said Rosengarten, “Shell is recognised globally as an unrivalled leader in fuels quality and we are keen to expand our business in Indonesia. Since December 2006, we have doubled our presence here. This pace of growth is impressive and I congratulate the local retail team and their partners on their achievement.” He further commented, “Shell is the world’s largest fuels retail business with over 46,000 retail stations in more than 90 countries and Indonesia is a key growth market. We look forward to being able to compete in an open market-based fuels distribution system that promotes healthy competition. We believe that this will result in an even more efficient market that will in turn not only improve the industry service levels and environment standards but more importantly help generate more investment and jobs for the Indonesian economy.” Jawwad Cheema, Retail Manager, Shell Indonesia, added, “At Shell, we believe that not all fuels are the same. We are committed to improving fuels quality and services for our customers and we aim to make the difference real for every customer everyday. Beyond these ten outlets, many more are at different stages of development. The expansion of our retail network in the country will thus allow us to better serve our customers in terms of providing quality fuels, convenience and service at competitive prices.” All of Shell retail stations in Indonesia meet consumers demands for high-speed, modern gasoline pumps, with digitally printed receipts, and free air pumps. This is in addition to a range of high quality fuels consisting of Shell Super and Shell Super Extra, with octane levels of 92 and 95 respectively, and Shell Diesel that is recommended for all types of diesel-powered vehicles. All Shell fuels are uniquely formulated to help keep the engine clean. Shell’s other retail outlets are in Lippo Karawaci, Jl. S. Parman and Jl. Kyai Tapa, West Jakarta, Jl. Yos Sudarso, North Jakarta, Jl. Letjen. Suprapto, Central Jakarta, Mampang Prapatan and Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta.
