To celebrate 60 years of shared passion through Shell’s technical partnership with Ferrari, Shell is delighted to announce its partnership on the Ferrari 60th Anniversary Relay Tour. “Relay Tour”, a worldwide rally that sees Ferrari touring 44 countries across five continents, kicked off in Abu Dhabi on the 28th January and culminates on the 25th June 2007 in Maranello, Italy, home of Ferrari. During each leg of the tour, the cars will stop at Shell service stations to fill up with Shell’s high quality fuels. This vast relay provides the ultimate showcase for Shell high quality fuels, designed to demonstrate the power and performance, and borne out of 60 years of shared passion for performance with Ferrari. The result is a fuel for customers who understand that not all fuels are the same. Each car is unique and Shell has the most suitable fuel for each of them.” Shell development for high quality fuel has been the long term, working technical partnership forged between Shell and Ferrari across the Grand Prix circuits of the world. At each race, the Shell ‘Track Lab’ provides Shell scientists with a unique cutting-edge mobile laboratory enabling fuels to be monitored and tested under the most severe conditions. This development on the racetrack is then fed back into Shell’s road fuel development programs to benefit the everyday motorist. In Indonesia, The Ferrari Relay Tour will start at Ferrari Headquarters in the TB Simatupang area, and will continue until the residence of the HE Ambassador of Italy, Dr. Francesco Greco where His Excellency will handover the baton. After the baton handover, 35 Ferrari cars will fill up their cars at Shell’s Fuel Station in Gatot Subroto (before continuing to the Ferrari Shop at the Automall).
