Winners of Shell Advance Media Writing Competition Watch Moto GP Race Live in Sepang (English)

08/09/2006

Shell Companies in Indonesia announced the winners of the Shell Advance Media Writing Competition today, as part of the new Shell Advance campaign ‘Get More Response From Your Bike!’. The writing competition was conducted to socialize the new theme of Shell Advance and its latest DPA technology (Dynamic Performance Additive) which contains special cleansing agent that actively cleans the engine surface and lock away harmful dirt and deposits, while giving bike maximum lubrication for maximum performance and response.

Shell Advance Brand and Communications Manager Ria R. Christiana said, ”Currently there are not many lubricant products specially designed for bikes, whereas in fact the needs of bikes and cars engine is significantly different. Lubricant for bike has to be able to protect the engine as well as the gearbox, whereas the car lubricant only protects the engine. Therefore, if a bike is using car lubricant for its engine lubricant then the gearbox will be easily damaged. This condition triggered Shell to offer Shell Advance as the lubricant that is dedicated especially for bikes and fulfill the needs of bikes engine to gain maximum performance and response. Through this media writing competition, Shell hopes to share the knowledge of the right way to maintain a bike’s engine, by using the right lubricant.

Ria Christiana added, ”The Shell Advance journalist writing competition also serves as a token of appreciation to all our journalist friends for their dedication in creating aspirational and inspirational news pieces to their readers”.

The scoring criteria for writing competition winners consist of creativity in writing, linguistic skills, key message inclusion given at the press conference, article comprehension, product understanding and inserted photograph. Three journalists from three different media has successfully been chosen as the winners with the best articles:

  • Ahmad Churi from Eksekutif magazine
