"Under Graduate Development Program, Ummi was brought directly to real work, responsibilities and accountabilities from day one. Feeling excited and challenged, Ummi learnt to do the project end-to-end from design phase, selecting contract up to project closing. She got her hands dirty by doing real engineering jobs."

Joining Shell in November 2008, Ummi’s first task was Facilities Engineer under Distribution Engineering Department. She is responsible for  all Distribution’s terminal all-across Indonesia in terms of maintenance and any projects take place in the terminal, small or large.

"I have real interface with people who work in the fields with lots of experience and expertise. Got my hands dirty by doing real jobs and most importantly  I have  exposure in high-level management and in the same time I need to communicate the high level strategy to operation level. That’s challenging!” Ummi commented.

Ummi holds Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from Institut Teknology Surabaya, East Java. She continued taking Post Graduate study in Marketing Management Universitas Indonesia, which she graduated with flying colors in February 2007. Being the eldest of four, she was born and grew up in Surabaya. She enjoys reading and traveling.
