Three of Shell Global Solutions’ US employees have received world-class recognition for their contributions to innovation and technology.
Ye-Mon Chen, Catalytic Cracking Regional Manager USA/North America, Shell Global Solutions (US) Inc., has received the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Fluidisation Process Recognition Award. This acknowledges his contribution to the science and technology of fluidisation and fluidised processes and leadership in the engineering community.
For his outstanding dissertation, Mahesh Iyer, Researcher Process Engineering and Evaluations, Shell Global Solutions (US) Inc., received the AIChE 2007 Best PhD Thesis in Particle Technology Award, for which there was strong global competition.
One of Korea’s highest civilian honours, the Stone Tower National Award, has been awarded to Dong Kim, Pressure Equipment Integrity Adviser, Shell Global Solutions (US) Inc. He is the first non-Korean citizen to receive the accolade, which he won for introducing new technologies and methods for safety and integrity in pressure equipment. Facilitating the use of innovative Shell services to Korean industries was also key to his winning the award.
