Global recession is boosting corporate energy efficiency drives, research says

This and other interesting results are part of the report "Countdown to Copenhagen: Climate change and the implications for policy and corporate strategy" launched at the 2009 Sustainability Summit, a major annual event hosted in London by the Economist Conferences and supported by Shell. The summit brings business leaders together to compare strategies for competing in a low-carbon world and analyse experiences from those companies at the forefront of implementing green business practice.  James Smith, Chairman, Shell UK, addressed the conference on the consequences of failing to address climate change, alongside David Nussbaum, CEO of WWF UK.
