Marvin assumed his present position of Executive Vice President - Americas (EVP EPW) in May 2005. In his prior assignment, he was Chief Executive Officer of InterGen, a global power generation company active in 13 countries. Prior to that, he was Shell Gas and Power Director for the Americas, based in London, and served as a member of InterGen's Board of Directors.
After joining Shell in 1982 as an engineer, Marvin held a variety of management positions in technical and commercial operations across several businesses, including Vice President, Business Development and Technology, for Shell Exploration & Production in Houston.
Marvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Dean’s Councils of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
He is married and has three children.
