For example, our current top product Shell Thermo Eco-Ultra is suitable for the latest technology - condensing boilers - and enables significant reductions in fuel consumption and therefore CO₂ emissions*. With our new product development - Shell Thermo plusBio10 - we have made a step towards 'greener' heating by using bio components.

And what's more, our top grades in Germany have a certification accredited by TÜV Nord, an official and independent institute, for improved heating fuel stability and improved reliability of operation compared to standard heating fuel.

Shell Thermo Premium provides cleaner burning compared to standard heating fuel. It has been designed to reduce fuel consumption and maintenance costs and to extend the life of your heating system by keeping it significantly cleaner. In addition a unique reodourant gives you a pleasantly neutral smell.

For a complete peace of mind, a special formulation helps to prevent soot formation and to protect the metallic parts of your heating equipment.

Shell Thermo Eco-Ultra – the sign of environmental awareness

Shell Thermo Eco-Ultra is our top quality, eco-friendly heating fuel, with which you can achieve energy savings of up to 30% when used with a modern condensing boiler* whilst also significantly reducing emissions.

Its formulation, with more than 95% less sulphur (sulphur-free in some European countries), helps reduce air pollution - thus protecting the environment. Your home environment is also improved with the unique reodourant which gives a pleasantly neutral smell.

Shell Thermo plusBio10 is our latest response to the growing environmental concerns of our heating customers. It contains up to 10% bio components made of renewable resources and has been designed specifically to reduce fuel consumption and help preserve the environment through its sulphur-free burning. 

The innovative formulation helps to increase fuel efficiency; when used with a condensing boiler, it can reduce fuel consumption by up to 30% compared to a standard heating system run on conventional heating fuel.
