Propylene oxide and derivatives
Propylene oxide is a basic chemical building block that is used to make two principal derivatives: polyether polyols and propylene glycols. Shell chemicals companies and their joint ventures use the Shell proprietary Styrene Monomer/Propylene Oxide (SM/PO) technology to produce propylene oxide.
