Xylenes
Shell chemicals companies are global manufacturers and suppliers of xylenes. They are mainly supplied as a mixed stream, although various processes can be used to separate and/or convert the isomers. Applications that utilise xylenes include polyester fibres and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins, plasticisers, medicines and dyes.
