Iain Lo
Vice President New Business Development and Ventures
Iain Lo joined Shell in 1990 after a short career as a Consulting Civil Engineer in Los Angeles and Malaysia. His Shell career started as a field engineer in Exploration and Production in Miri, Malaysia. This was followed by roles in front-end engineering, in economics and finally in a corporate function that undertook the restructuring of Sarawak Shell. Iain moved to Shell EP International Ventures in The Hague in 1996 where he was responsible for developing opportunities in North East Asian pipelines.
In 1998, Iain moved to the Shell Gas and Power organisation where he was the General Manager for LNG joint ventures in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. He then moved to Singapore where he was General Manager for commercial governance of the Sakhalin joint venture.
In 2005, Iain was appointed as Senior Regional Advisor for Shell’s businesses in the Asia Pacific region, based in The Hague. Iain joined Shell Chemicals as Vice President APME Ventures and Developments in 2006, based in Singapore, and became Vice President New Business Development and Ventures in 2009. Iain was appointed as a Board Member to the Singapore Economic Development Board in 2009.
