Thomas Chhoa was appointed to the position of General Manager for Ethylene Oxide and Glycols, based in Singapore, with effect from 25 June 2007.

Thomas brings with him a wealth of experience having worked for Shell for over 25 years. After graduating from university in the UK with a degree in engineering, Thomas joined Shell Internationale Petroleum Maatschappij BV in The Netherlands in 1981.

Since then, he has had a number of international assignments in Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands, Hong Kong, China, Australia and Singapore where he held various management, technical, operational and consultant positions. Thomas has also participated in projects around the world. Prior to this appointment, he was Vice President Asia Pacific for Shell’s Clean Coal Energy business with Shell Gas & Power.
