David Young took on the role of General Manager for Solvents & Phenol in June 2005. Prior to this, David was the European Business Manager for Aromatics and was also involved in the Basell divestment project.
During his career in Shell, David has undertaken a variety of roles including general management, marketing, sales and strategy roles for Shell chemicals companies in the UK, The Netherlands, Dubai and Houston.
David graduated from Cambridge University in 1980 with a BSc in Natural Sciences/Chemical Engineering.
He is married with one son and one daughter.
