Other senior executives

Chiew Nguang-Yong is the General Manager of Shell Chemicals Seraya, Singapore, assuming his current role in July 2009.

Nguang-Yong joined Shell Bukom Refinery, Singapore, in 1988 as a Mechanical Engineer, working in the design office before moving to the maintenance department. He joined the Seraya 1 (SMPO1) project team in June 1994 where he was first stationed in Japan as a Project Engineer. He returned to Singapore in 1995 to continue in the SMPO1 project as a Construction Engineer. He became the Maintenance Manager of the PODU plant after start-up.

After a period outside Shell, Nguang-Yong returned to the Bukom refinery in 2003 where his roles included Head of the Mechanical Department and Head of Capital Projects. In April 2008, he moved to the Downstream Portfolio Team in the East as General Manager, Portfolio Projects where he was involved in several mergers and acquisitions projects.

He is married with a son and daughter, and enjoys a round of golf whenever possible.
