Edward van den Heuvel is a Chemical Engineer who has worked in various roles in Shell for the past 20 years. After working in manufacturing plant management, he graduated in 2000 in Business-to-Business marketing. He then changed career path from manufacturing toward business-oriented roles via a supply chain management position in which he supported the design and implementation of a global system for Shell's Styrene Monomer supply.

From there, he moved on to a product manager position responsible for the marketing and sales of Shell's Higher Olefins products in Europe and Africa. Based on his deep market understanding of olefin and surfactant products he then took up the business development challenge to develop a surfactant-based enhanced oil recovery (EOR) business.

In September 2010 Edward joined Shell's Europe West Lubricants business and leads the B2B Direct sales team in Benelux.

Edward is married with three children and enjoys biking, speed ice skating and swimming.
