Overview
The Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex (SEPC) will be the Shell Group’s largest ever petrochemical investment.
Project scope
The project will include a new cracker that will produce olefins and aromatics as well as one of the world's largest mono ethylene glycol plants.
Location
When selecting the location for the new complex, Singapore was an obvious choice. The Shell Group has an established base and a good track record for delivery of projects in Singapore.
Supporting technology
The mono ethylene glycol (MEG) plant on Jurong Island will utilise Shell's proprietary OMEGA technology.
Environment & society
From relocating coral to creating many jobs, the SEPC project supports Shell chemicals companies' commitment to the principles of sustainable development.
