Why did you join Shell? |
| When, during my post-graduate studies in Berkeley, I filled out the online application form, my main interest was to join a big company, in a powerful industry, which offered me a whole career development and the possibility to move within an organization, across countries and business. After the Shell Recruitment Day, there was an additional reason that made me definitely go for Shell. A company, in which five managers from different countries spend their time in recruiting, shows an interest in the human assets that is not common in traditional industries.

How would you describe your role at Shell? |
| I work as an Account Manager for the Retail Sales Department in Spain. I am responsible for nearly 30 sites spread across the south of Spain. My current role is to manage these accounts, not only controlling sales but also the assets involved. In my case, I am new to this industry, and my objective is to learn about business from the field but creating value for the company from the very first day.

How would you describe your typical day? |
| I spend an average of four days out of the office and one day in doing paperwork. The days I am out, I visit the sites and meet the dealers. We work together improving the site operations and setting sales action plans: promotions, search of new final customers etc.
What do you like most about the job? |
| On the one hand, the challenge of helping people make their own business grow (sites) while we increase our market share and profits. On the other, the opportunity to work with retail experienced colleagues learning from them in a relaxed working atmosphere.
