Why did you join Shell? |
Why would anybody turn down a job offer with one of the world's most successful companies?! Shell is clearly a global leader of the energy and petro-chemical industry, and its diverse workforce, mission statement and core values are in line with my personal values. I'm very excited about what the company does, and very glad I was chosen to be a part of it.

How would you describe your role at Shell? |
My role as a financial analyst is something that I really take pride in. I perform analysis and interpretation of financial data for regional and terminal managers in the organisation. I analyse profit and loss statements, make sure regional and terminal needs are met, and serve as liaison to make sure customers are happy. I also work with engineers to set up capital expenses projects and capital budget compliance throughout the year, as well as ad hoc and special projects as necessary. As a new employee, I come in each day willing to learn and ready to contribute as much as possible.

What do you like most about the job? |
I have a lot of interaction with lots of different people - the diversity here is a huge plus. Helping to meet their needs and achieve their goals is really satisfying. Shell is not afraid to give you responsibility and values your opinion. There's a lot of teamwork and cooperation that goes into getting work done, which creates a flexible, fun work environment. I consider Shell to be a great place for advancement, where everyday is different and brings new responsibilities and challenges.
