Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering

My role is to understand how fluids are moving in the reservoir, and find new targets to drill. Shell is passionate about learning, and I have constant opportunities to go on courses and workshops. When Shell hires someone, it's for the long-term.
Eric, Reservoir Engineer

We transform petrophysical and geological data into dynamic reservoir models as well as developing a detailed understanding of the distribution of oil, gas and water.

You can expect to spend your time:

  • Developing economically viable plans, using models ranging from analytical evaluation to state-of-the-art multi-cell simulation techniques
  • Forecasting oil and gas flow rates and projecting the number of wells needed to optimise recovery
  • Recommending where wells should be located, the most appropriate platform and the type of pipeline.
