How Shell easyPAY™ works

Shell easyPAY is the fastest way to pay for all your purchases at Shell. You can now use easyPAY as your preferred method of payment in two ways: in the store or at the pump. Unfortunately, not all locations have easyPAY at the pumps, but all locations have inside easyPAY.

Two ways to use easyPAY:

Fill up as you normally would (do not activate the pump with your easyPAY tag). Proceed into the store, select any other items you wish to purchase, and have the Sales Associate total your purchases.

When selecting the method of payment, tell the Sales Associate that you would like to use your easyPAY tag. Hold the tag in front of the easyPAY reader at the pay point when ready, and green lights will flash. Once the tag has been read, a receipt will be produced and you'll be on your way. It's that easy!

Drive to the easyPAY Shell station as you normally would, pull up beside the pump of your choice, and shut off your engine as usual. Present your tag within seven centimetres (three inches) of the yellow Tag logo on the front of the pump (under the easyPAY logo), with the flat side of the tag facing the pump.

The red Recognized light will begin flashing on and off to indicate that your easyPAY tag's number is being read. This will link your tag's unique identification number to your account information stored in Shell's computer system, and the automatic authorization process begins.

The screen on the pump face will welcome you, and will prompt you to select your fuel grade and to begin fueling. The light will stop flashing and will remain on until your transaction is complete.

When you are finished, return the pump nozzle to its holder, take your receipt from the pump... and off you go!

If you change your mind . . .

If you change your mind, you may cancel your transaction at any time before you select your fuel grade, simply by pressing the red Cancel key on the pump face.

In addition, you have 60 seconds to commence fill-up after you've been prompted to select your fuel grade. If you take no action at that point, the transaction will also be cancelled.
