VSI Oil – Circulating and rust inhibiting oil
VSI oil is a special circulating and lubricating oil with the ability to protect steel surfaces which are above the normal oil level in a system. The vapor spaces in an oil storage tank or the oil reservoir in a circulation system would be examples.
VSI oil is blended from highly refined, high viscosity index, turbine quality base oils and a unique Shell-developed additive combination. This vapor space inhibitor oil ensures the rust protection of oil systems internal surfaces whether they are in contact with the oil or not.
