Cardura – Railcurve grease Many years of research and field testing support the performance of Cardura greases, specifically designed as railcurve greases. These products are dispensed by rail lubricators located at critical points along the railway tracks to ensure excellent lubrication and reduce wheel wear. Two grades are available; Cardura WS and Cardura Plus greases.

Darina AX – General purpose wheel bearing grease Darina AX grease is a premium multi-purpose grease which has been developed specifically for the lubrication of chassis parts and the wheel bearings of modern automotive equipment. It is based on Shell's unique "Microgel*" thickener which provides superior protection from the effects of moisture and high heat, unlike traditional soap thickeners, which tend to break down under these severe conditions.

Darina XL – Premium multipurpose grease The Darina XL grease family includes an EP 2 grade along with Multi-Season and 102M (Moly) an all season synthetic grade. The superior high temperature capability of Darina XL greases ensures dependable lubrication in a wide range of operating temperatures from a maximum of about 170°C down to -50 °C.

Dusol K1 – Sour gas valve grease Corrosive hydrogen sulphide attack on valves in gas and oil pipeline service presents a major problem to the Industry.
In collaboration with Shell Resources Canada, Shell Canada has formulated a specially inhibited grease for the lubrication and protection of valves which are subject to such corrosion problems.
Dursol K1 grease is based upon Shell's exclusive microgel technology. A low pour point combination of mineral oils and the necessary inhibitor are used to provide optimum year round performance and protection.

Ultragel – High temperature grease Ultragel grease is an N.L.G.I. No. 2 consistency grease formulated with an inorganic thickener in a synthetic hydrocarbon oil. The base oil is a high viscosity grade and the finished product is a very tacky adhesive clear grease.
Ultragel grease was initially introduced to meet an application at a modern steel rolling mill where continuous casting machines produce billets rolled and cut to pre-determined dimensions. The rate of billet manufacture being high, congestion at the lower end of the machine's strands and run-out tables was not uncommon. The temperature of the steel at this stage of the operation is still in the region of 800 °C and the effects of heat soak on the run-out table rolling bearings. Despite heat shields, frequent re-lubrication and purging when they were lubricated with standard greases, the bearings had to be stripped and cleaned at 2-day intervals -- sometimes even more frequently.
A number of high temperature specialty greases from various sources including a Shell candidate grease were tested in back-to-back trials in service. The performance of the Shell grade -- Ultragel grease -- was outstanding and it enabled the table roll bearings to be run for a month with only weekly applications of a few shots of product. The monthly stripping of the bearings was based on good preventive maintenance practice and wasn’t in anyway related to the life of the grease.

Ossagol C Moly – Semi fluid grease Ossagol C Moly grease is a semi-fluid grease that contains rust and oxidation inhibitors plus Molybdenum Disulphide, which serves to protect critical machine parts from shock loading and wear.
It is recommended for the lubrication of lightly loaded gear- boxes which have to be lubricated with a semi-fluid grease, and is also excellent for use in centralized systems where extremely low operating temperatures are encountered. This grease has found wide application in centralized systems of all types of equipment which are used on trucks, buses, manufacturing machinery and railway flange lubrication. It is the product recommended for year round usage for "onboard" lubricators used on railway locomotives in order to reduce wheel flange and rail wear and improve fuel economy.
