AeroShell oils are mineral oil based aircraft piston engine oils. All grades are approved for SAE J-1966 specifications (formerly MIL-L-6082E) for ashless non-dispersant aircraft piston engine oils.

Product data sheet AeroShell W 15W-50 – Dispersant type multigrade aircraft piston engine oil
AeroShell W Multigrade 15W-50 oil is a synthetic blend, ashless dispersant (AD type) aircraft piston engine oil. It is approved for SAE J-1899 specification (formerly MIL-L-22851D) for four-cycle aircraft piston engine oils. It also meets aircraft reciprocating engine AD specifications including Teledyne-Continental MOTORS MHS No. 24B and Avco Lycoming No. 301F. For operators of Lycoming engines including models O-320H, O-360E, LO-360, TO-360E, and LTO-360E there is no need to add Lycoming additive LW 16702. As per FAA Airworthiness Directive AD 80-04-03R2 (Transport Canada reference 5014-4 (AARDGM), Aeroshell W Multigrade 15W-50 oil meets an equivalent method of compliance without the addition of LW 16702.

AeroShell W 100 Plus oil is an ashless dispersant (AD type) aircraft piston engine oil with improved corrosion and anti-wear protection. It is approved for SAE J-1899 (formerly MIL-L-22851D) specifications for ashless dispersant type aircraft piston engine oils. It also meets aircraft reciprocating engine AD specifications including Teledyne-Continental Motors MHS No. 24B, and Avco Lycoming No. 301F. For operators of Lycoming engines including models O-320H, O-360E, LO-360, TO-360E, and LTO-360E there is no need to add Lycoming additive LW 16702.
