Shell coffee and car wash sales benefit Saskatchewan Telemiracle February 21

12 Feb 2008

Weyburn, Saskatchewan – On February 21, purchase a Java Café coffee or car wash at any participating Saskatchewan Shell or Turbo station and Shell will donate the proceeds – plus a match of up to $5,000 – to the Kinsmen Telemiracle.

“With support from Shell Canada, Shell retailers across Saskatchewan have raised more than $60,000 through our involvement with Telemiracle for the past six years,” says Andy Broccolo, manager of the Weyburn Shell station.

This year, all Java Café coffee and cappuccino as well as car wash sales on February 21 will be donated to the Telemiracle. Retailers have also been collecting donations since late January through the sale of “helping hands” to customers who display their names on paper hand cut-outs at participating locations.

“Shell believes in giving back to the communities where we operate, and we are pleased to partner with our retailers to support such a wonderful cause,” says Connie Arran, Shell’s prairie region district manager. “Our retailers are small business people and donating proceeds from sales that day is a significant contribution that directly benefits their communities.”

Shell retailers will present a donation cheque during the live Telemiracle telethon on March 1 and March 2.
