Stringent emissions regulations throughout North America and an industry-wide reduction in 2-cycle oil consumption motivated Shell Canada to launch Nautilus FC-W Four-Cycle 10W-30 Outboard Marine Oil. The formulation provides protection against corrosion and cam wear and offers excellent salt-water resistance. Most importantly, the Nautilus product meets and exceeds the latest National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) FC-W specifications. "We are the first integrated petroleum company in Canada to market an FC-W specification engine oil for outboard leisure marine watercraft," said Lenore Indarsingh, Category Manager, Shell Canada Products. "From fishing to water sports to cruising, the Shell Nautilus FC-W marine oil responds to the needs of today's outboard engines while providing boaters peace of mind." Nautilus Marine Oils are a family of two-cycle and four-cycle outboard engine oils that protect against corrosion even in severe salt-water environments. The formulations go beyond the latest TC-W3 and FC-W performance standards issued by the NMMA to improve outboard engine life. Nautilus is designed to meet all outboard engine manufacturers' performance requirements for pre-mix, direct oil injection, and newer generation direct injection two-cycle engines. Nautilus Marine Oils' including the FC-W Four-Cycle Outboard 10W-30 Engine Oil are available at Shell authorized distributors and Canadian Tire. "The launch of the FC-W marine oil is a significant step forward for the Nautilus brand as Shell continues to innovate and improve lubricants for the leisure marine oil sector in Canada," said Indarsingh.
