October 26, 2006

This month Shell Canada received kudos for several top business rankings. Shell has been named as one of Mediacorp Canada’s Top 100 Employers, one of the Financial Post’s 10 Best Companies to Work For (2007), a Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company and one of the top ten most-desired organizations among engineering students to launch their careers.

Shell Canada Ltd. named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, Top Ten Best Companies to Work For

The nod from Mediacorp Canada is the seventh in as many years for Shell Canada, an example of the company’s on-going commitment to employees. The award was featured in Maclean’s on October 10.

It’s an honour to be on these lists, says Shell Canada’s David Fulton, Vice President, Human Resources, because it suggests the company is taking the right steps to attract and keep good employees.
“As an employer, we set ourselves high standards,” Fulton says.
“It’s nice when people recognize what we do, but we’d do it anyway, because we think it’s the right way to run our business.”
Further to this designation, Shell is included by the editors of the Financial Post as one of Canada’s Top Ten Best Companies to Work For (2007). The list recognizes employers from this year’s “Top 100” list who are undergoing rapid expansion and offer outstanding career opportunities.

Shell Canada 53rd among Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies

The Platts Top 250 is a global survey measuring energy companies’ financial performance. The survey ranks international organizations based on examination of assets, revenues, profits and return on invested capital.
