 Research & Development scientists working for Shell are part of Shell Global Solutions, Shell’s dedicated global research and development organisation which provides cutting-edge consultancy and technology innovation and expertise to petrochemical and processing industries.. To ensure full integration with the business, R&D staff are seconded to the bitumen business and work from a Shell laboratory either in Petit Couronne, Nottingham Pavement Engineering Centre or Kuala Lumpur. Key Account Management Our key account managers work with clients in specific sectors and regions to ensure we deliver the products and solutions they require. Contractors managing large infrastructure projects rely on Shell Bitumen key account managers to coordinate: - Bitumen product selection and quality control to ensure the finished asphalt is fit for purpose
- Pricing and commercial agreements
- Delivery schedules so work progresses on site without delay
- Technical support both in tender phase and during production
- Site safety audits and training on safe delivery of bitumen
