Coloured road surfacing incorporating Shell Mexphalte C is used to highlight cycle lanes, bus routes and to brighten tunnels improving safety for all road users including cyclists and vehicle drivers.

Traffic calming measures such as raised junctions and speed ramps are also developed with coloured asphalt and can incorporate proprietary textured paving solutions to impart a block texture. Designed to manage the speed of drivers they improve safety for communities.
