Astra Nova is Shell Aviation’s delivery data capture and management system for the aviation fuelling business.
|

The system consists of modular components enabling it to be implemented in various ways to best suit the size and complexity of airport sites including the ability to manage multiple airfields from a single system. Collection of delivery data directly from the wing tip is also possible with use of specialised apron equipment which will produce printed receipts from the delivery vehicle and electronically capture and pass the data to both the supplier and the customer’s system. Astra Nova is in over 35 countries, world wide in Shell solus as well as joint venture operations, collecting data from 450 plus airfields.

- Comprehensive reference database.
- Maintains up to 72 hour rolling 'mayfly' information.
- Crew/vehicle scheduling operations.
- Ability to interface with an on-line feeds from airport authority systems for maintaining up to date flight status information (subject to implementation requirements).
- Automated interface to Apron subsystem of skeletal flight information and reference data.
- Delivery and stock transaction update and review.
- Stock tracking module.
- Resource management module and shift planning tool.
- Handles Joint Venture into-plane & storage.
- Management reporting tool including ability to generate adhoc reports.
- Enables the provision of Fuel Service Record for customers from Apron system.
- Recording of Packed Products.
- Provides extract definition facilities to allow data files to be created for individual Joint Venture members systems.
- Can act as a single point 'post office' for on-forwarding transactions to Central/ Local invoicing systems / Integrated Packages / Management information systems.
- Interfaces with SAP, JD Edwards , ATLAS & SUN accounting Systems have already working.
- Provides control of consolidated deliveries from several airfields.
- Allows one system to on-forward consolidated data to another Astra Nova system.
- Customer Pricing facility along with ability to enter Duty, fees and taxes.
- Meter reconciliation module.
