Shell Aviation Press Release

printable version

Shell AeroJet lauch in Moss Town, Exuma, Bahamas.

28/06/2004

As part of an intense marketing plan to improve the services to General Aviation customers in the Caribbean, Shell Aviation is launching on the 28th June 2004 in Moss Town its most premium product: Shell AeroJet. Shell AeroJet offers a unique mixture of Shell Jet A1 fuel with anti-icing, anti-fungal, and anti-static additives, automatically injected at the recommended dosage (between 0,01% and 0,15%); Shell Aerojet has combined the most important safety properties required for aircraft fuels.

Without Shell AeroJet, customers demanding additives to the kerosene have to buy them in pressure-fed cans. The use of pressure-fed cans to mix anti-icing additive at the time of refuelling often results in an uneven mix and incorrect additive concentration as well as posing health hazards to the user. The major advantages of Shell AeroJet over this and other systems is that you can be assured that your fuel has been dosed with the additive at exactly the correct rate every time without any exposure to harmful vapours.

Offering this premium service, Shell Aviation expects to reinforce its commitment with the general aviation segment, especially with Moss Town market.
