Shell AeroJet launch in La Romana, Dominican Republic

14/12/2004

As part of an intense marketing plan to improve the services to General Aviation customers in the Caribbean, Shell Aviation has recently launched in La Romana its most premium product: Shell AeroJet.  Shell AeroJet offers the quality of plain Shell Jet A1 fuel plus an automatic injection of anti-icing, anti-fungal, and anti-static additives, at the reommended dosage (between 0.01% and 0.15%).

Without Shell AeroJet, customers demanding additives for Jet Fuel have to buy them in pressure-fed cans.  The use of pressure-fed cans to mix anti-icing additive at the time of refuelling often results in an uneven mix and incorrect additive concentration as well as posing health hazards to the user.  The major advantages of Shell AeroJet over this and other systems is that you can be assured that your fuel has been dosed with the additive at exactly the correct rate every time without any exposure to harmful vapours.

Offering this premium service, Shell Aviation expects to reinforce its commitment with the General Aviation segment, expecially at La Romana and the Caribbean market.  La Romana International is one of the largest and most important airports in the Caribbean for the General Aviation market.  During peak season, it concentrates the take-offs and landings of 50 executive jets per day.
