Shell Aviation has been recognised as the world's leading fuel supplier to the airline industry in the 2004 Armbrust Aviation survey of Airline Customers. Last winning this prestigious industry award in 2002, Shell Aviation this year dominated the poll of customer preference with one of the biggest ever winning margins. Shell Aviation captured "Best" in four of the five world regions (Africa/M.E., Asia/Pacific, Europe and Latin America) with a total vote of 1,369 well ahead of the second place finisher with 1,027 votes. Shell scored a second place finish behind ChevronTexaco Aviation in North America and also took top honours overall in 17 or 22 service categories.
