Shell Aviation is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Laviolette as General Manager North America, effective 22 September. Julie joins Shell Aviation from Air Canada, and will have responsibility for Shell Aviation's operations in the USA and Canada. During her 19 years with Air Canada Julie held numerous management positions in Finance, Corporate Planning, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Management and Strategic Purchasing. Julie was appointed Vice President, Procurement & Corporate Real Estate in May 2006. Most recently as Vice President, Procurement, Julie had overall responsibility for the procurement of goods and services worldwide, including fuel purchasing and supply. Michael Sergeant, current General Manager North America, remains with Shell. Michael will move into a Senior Project Leader role within Shell Aviation, reporting to Vice President Shell Aviation, Sjoerd Post.
