Shell Aviation Launches New AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4

08/04/2008

Shell Aviation announces the launch of its newest engine oil specifically designed for light sport four stroke engines, AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4, at the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In convention in Florida, USA this week.

The latest addition to the AeroShell engine oil range is the culmination of research and consultation with engine manufacturers and aircraft operators, with the resulting AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4 the first aviation oil specifically tailored for light sport and very light aircraft four stroke engines.

In a market where operators of light four stroke aircraft engines have had to resort to using motorcycle oils, this new product provides the solution; it is a multigrade oil designed to be used in any climate, has a high thermal stability for longer-lasting and safer lubrication, and has been developed expressly for light aircraft four stroke engines such as the ROTAX ® 912 & 914 series.

The new oil can be used with both unleaded and leaded fuels (AVGAS 100LL) and exceeds the highest international specifications: API SL, JASO MA, VW 502 00, fully approved for all ROTAX ® 912 & 914 series engines.

AeroShell Oils are the world’s best selling aviation piston engine oils, with more pilots and maintenance engineers having trusted the AeroShell brand over the decades than any other. AeroShell has a long history of both taking the technical lead in aviation oil development, and listening to what pilots need.
