Leyland Steer aircraft refueller refuelling a TCA (Trans Canadian Airlines (fore runner of Air Canada)) DC-6 aircraft with Avgas at London Heathrow Airport in August 1948.

The fueller is a Fordson of the Sussex type, with three axles, made in England in 1936, and is one of the first specially designed airfield fuellers. The total weight of the vehicle is 7300 kg and the two tanks hold a total of 3420 litres. The fueller has been completely renovated at Svenska Shell’s expense and was donated to the Air and Space Museum in Stockholm. The photograph shows the fueller at Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm, alongside a British Airways Concorde.
