Shell signs up for another year of V8s

18/02/2005

Shell is proud to announce it will continue to be the official fuel supplier for the V8 Supercar Champion Series in 2005, providing Shell Optimax for every car competing in the series, in all categories including the Supercars.

Shell Optimax is a high density, high-octane fuel that has continued to lead the premium fuel market since its launch in 1999. Its special cleansing properties remove built-up carbon deposits on inlet valves and leave fuel injector nozzles in peak condition.

It is currently available widely along the eastern seaboard. The fuel provided for the V8 Supercar Series is exactly the same fuel sold at Coles Express service stations which are exclusively supplied by Shell.

Shell’s Fuel Marketing Manager, Campbell Gough, said: “The V8s is the perfect platform to showcase the performance qualities of Shell Optimax. It is a premium fuel for a premium event.”

“Shell Optimax is the leading high performance petrol in the Australia and is used at the V8 Supercars series because it gives better performance and responsiveness,” Mr Gough said.

“It not only provides more power but it also cleans the car’s engine as your drive and provides better fuel economy.

“Optimax was developed using our expertise when creating fuels for the Ferrari formula one cars. As the performance fuel the V8 Supercars rely on, imagine what it can do for your car.”
