28/10/2005

Shell Australia announced today that Mr Russell Caplan would succeed Mr Tim Warren as Chairman of the Shell Companies in Australia early in the new year.

Mr Caplan will take up his appointment from 1st February 2006.   Mr Warren retires after 35 years with Shell working in Brunei, Malaysia, UK, Oman, The Netherlands, Nigeria and Australia.

Mr Warren said that the successor to his Exploration and Production responsibilities, both in Australia and New Zealand, will be the subject of a further announcement.
