Why did you join Shell? |
|
I recognized that Shell, a Global business with a presence in more than 145 countries, could offer me a range of diverse business opportunities and learning’s that I could incorporate into both my professional and personal development. Furthermore, I realized that working for Shell would afford me the experience to grapple and balance the issues of economic, social and environmental development that large organizations are required to address in the world today. |

How would you describe your role at Shell? |
|
During my two years working for Shell so far I have worked eighteen of those months as an Environmental Engineer in Brisbane and I am now currently working as a business analyst for the Strategy and Development Team in Melbourne. As an environmental engineer my work encompassed assessing and minimizing the impact of Shell’s assets on the environment and developing clean-up strategies to protect future users. My current role as a business analyst is to provide analytical and strategic support to the Strategy and Development Manager for the formulation and execution of terminal/depot facilities optimisation and rationalisation across Oceania. |

What do you like most about the job? |
|
I particularly enjoy the diversity in projects and the travel opportunities that each of my roles has offered. Working for Shell has also allowed me to interact, participate and learn from a variety of exceptionally experienced and knowledgeable people. I also appreciate that Shell encourages it’s employees to achieve a suitable work-life balance and offers various support options such as flexible working arrangements to assist in achieving that balance |
