Personal Development Awards have now closed. They are expected to open again in April 2008
As an employer we encourage, value and nurture personal development. The Shell Personal Development Award (PDA) is offered to students who are planning to stretch themselves, push the limits and reach new goals.
We will be offering 8 monetary awards to eligible students. For example, you may be:
Volunteering on a community project
Developing an existing talent or learning a new skill - perhaps a foreign language, or sport, performance arts or music
Involved in a non-profit programme
Traveling to a national conference
Establishing a high school tutoring program
Joining a field project relevant to your major
If you receive an award, there are ’no strings attached‘ and no obligations - other than to come back and share with us the experience made possible with the PDA.
But if you wish to take your application with Shell further - through to an Internship, the Shell Gourami Business Challenge, or even full-time employment later - the opportunities are endless.
Applications are welcome all year round. We have 8 awards to offer at an amount of $1000. Awards are open to students with Australian citizenship or PR majoring in the following disciplines:
Engineering
Business/Commerce
Accounting
Finance
What are we looking for?
Students with an excellent academic record.
Demonstration of leadership skills through active participation in extra-curricular activities. e.g. societies and clubs, sports, etc
Detailed outline of the activity that you are planning.
