Shell is made up of a great many independent businesses and, across the board, we offer competitive starting salaries. Performance-related pay and bonuses ensure that individual contribution is rewarded and your salary will be regularly reviewed during your early career. Applications for the Graduate Program have now closed. Applications will next open in March 2008. |

Competitive and benchmarked remuneration |
We regularly review our salaries and overall remuneration packages (including business performance bonuses) to ensure that all of our employees are being rewarded at competitive levels. |
Salary Packaging Scheme (Australia only) |
Employees can nominate the preferred mix of salary and Shell's approved non-salary benefits that will constitute their future package. This enables employees the flexibility to meet their individual, personal and financial needs while at the same time ensuring that the packaging arrangements comply with relevant taxation law. Salary packaging can be used for items such as laptops and novated and associate lease cars. |
Global Employee Share Purchase Plan |
The Global Employee Share Purchase Plan gives eligible employees the opportunity to buy shares in one of the Parent Companies - Royal Dutch or Shell Transport. The shares are held within the Plan on behalf of participants. If the shares bought with the employee's contributions during a twelve month period are kept within the Plan for the following fifteen months, he or she will be given additional shares. The number of additional shares is 15% of the number of shares that the employee kept within the Plan. This Plan operates in conjunction with the local Employee Share and Save Scheme. |
Superannuation |
Superannuation is an important part of every employee's remuneration and long term financial savings plan. It is a systematic way of putting money aside during your working life to provide you with financial security in retirement. We offer employees an attractive accumulation superannuation scheme, which means that your superannuation accumulates with contribution and investment returns (interest), whilst administration fees and insurance costs (if applicable) are deducted from your account. In addition, the Company provides insurance benefits when you leave the Company in a range of circumstances. |
Product Discounts |
Employees eligible for a substantial discount off the retail price of motor vehicle fuels (petrol, diesel, automotive LPG) for purchases made for private use from Shell-branded retail outlets. |
Relocation |
We cover the costs of new recruits moving to their new location. This includes, among other benefits, travel to the new location, cost of the removal of household and personal effects, temporary accommodation and a relocation allowance. |
Leave |
Employees accrue four weeks annual leave after each 12 months service in Australia. There are also leave provisions for other reasons such as long service, sickness and parental duties. |
Public Holidays |
We observe 8 national public holidays in Australia - New Years Day, Australia Day Holiday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Easter Tuesday, Anzac Day Holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We also observe state public holidays such as Labour Day, Melbourne Cup Day and the Queen's Birthday. |

The Club's wide range of events varies from sports days to happy hours to Christmas parties for employees and their families.
