Find out how to raise a concern about the Geelong refinery. The Geelong refinery is a complex facility and occasionally community members may have an issue or concern they would like to table. A clear procedure has been put in place to manage such queries. Issues and Emergency Line If you have a concern about the refinery's operational or environmental performance, or a question relating to an emergency situation, please call 1800 651 818. This line operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week. An experience operator will be able to answer your question, or record your query and ensure it is followed up. If your call is in relation to a current problem (eg: a noise or smell) a refinery representative will be sent out to investigate. Complaints associated with environmental issues are automatically table with the EPA. Please note: If you contact Shell about an issue or complaint via telephone, depending on the nature of the call you will either be asked to put it in writing or your call will be transferred through to 1800 651 818. ABC Radio If an event occurs and you need to act, emergency services will broadcast on ABC radio 774 AM. If there are not messages on 774 AM community members do not need to take action. |
