Shell Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce great success for Intilaaqah Abu Dhabi at the Regional Intilaaqah Awards held in Muscat in December. Four nominees from Abu Dhabi competed in 4 different categories against candidates from the programme in Oman and Egypt. Intilaaqah Abu Dhabi were awarded 1st place in 2 out of the 4 categories. Huda Al Matroushi won first place in the 'Business Success or Significant Progress' category. Huda received her trophy and cash prize of $10,000 from Oman Commerce and Industry Under-Secretary Ahmed Al Dheeb at a gala ceremony in the Afrah ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat. Huda owns and runs “Ancestor’s Heritage”, an antique furniture design and manufacturing company which aims to re-create traditional Emirati designs. Muna Al Dhaheri was awarded first prize in the 'Most Promising Start-up' category and received a $5,000 cash prize. Yousif Yousif received second place for the 'Best Business Plan' in this closely contended category and received a cash prize of $1,500 from Al Iktissad Wal Aamal magazine. Dina Salem, presenter and programme editor with Al Arabiya, acted in the capacity of Master of Ceremony at the event which also marked the 10th anniversary of Intilaaqah Oman and was attended by over 200 businessmen, government officials and other dignitaries from across the region.آ Guest speaker, Shehab M.
