 Many activities kept fans entertained over the weekend: stunt shows, biker’s games, test rides, fashion shows, a Ducati Museum exhibit and the opportunity to ride on the famous race track. The Shell Exhibition space was especially popular, featuring a bike display and games, along with the Shell analytical truck and the test bench. The Shell technical team were there to help fans use the equipment and to teach them about the importance of the technical partnership in developing road products.
The highlight for many of the fans was a meeting with one of the greatest Ducati World Superbike stars of all time - and current championship leader - Troy Bayliss. The rider visited the Shell Exhibition space, meeting fans and signing autographs. He also caught up with the Shell technicians managing the test bench and learnt about Shell Advance lubricant development with Michael Knaak, Shell Project Leader for Ducati. Along with Shell V-Power race fuel, Shell Advance oil is developed for use by Bayliss and team-mate Michel Fabrizio in the World Superbikes and their Ducati counterparts Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri in MotoGP, with the aim of transferring learnings to fuel and oil products for the road.
